Life in 2020

So if family follows this posting, I'll probably be killed by my mother. She is one who isn't kind with the world knowing the state of the house. But I feel that something needs to be said, and that is "We probably need help!"

I would say that since my father passed in 2003, stability and order has gone horribly down hill. While yes, we did some renovations, to the house. We probably should have looked at the plumbing that came with the house (its over 40 yrs old). We probably should have had the house inspected, but we didn't. We probably should have made an effort to head downstairs more often but we didn't. Hindsight is 20/20, and well this 2020 sucks balls.

So on Sunday, mom noticed that there was more moisture in the house on the main floor then normal. She asked me to head downs stairs. So down I went... only to find icky black standing water. The sewage drain had backed up. I could see spots of mold on the drywall near the drain in my fathers work room/mom's crafting room. So Monday morning, my sister plunged it.. no luck by noon I had arranged Roto-Rooter to come out Tuesday. By Monday night, the water had receded, but the black gook was still there. Tuesday R-R came, snaked, cleaned the drain and said get it professionally cleaned.

Mom called insurance, it should be covered, while we are at it, lets have them look at our kitchen ceiling. Master shower, creates a waterfall in the kitchen, it should be covered. Friday, insurance had arranged for a cleaning/inspecting company to come out.. oh yeah it's a holiday weekend. So our insurance is closed for the weekend. They discover that the shower has probably weakened 90% of the floor boards above the kitchen, the leak we had in the main floor bathroom probably caused issues on the floor boards as well. The basement flooded so bad that it has caused a GREAT HOLY DISASTER! We have mold, black mold that has taken over at least 4 drywall walls within the basement.

Yes, things can be cleaned, but only if its plastic, metal or glass. My father's string art, is sitting in black gunk, his train set is built on a train table that is wood. We are losing handcrafted childhood toys, a play set that looks like a kitchenette, our childhood school desk... and god only knows what is under the stairs. Yes, there are 3 adults in the house, 2 work - essential minimum wage jobs, and 1 retired. 2 have health issues, 1 is healthy, and all 3 have been breathing these spoors for who knows how long.

We cant touch anything until we hear back from the insurance company, we don't know if we'll be put up in a hotel, or if we will have to pay for it ourselves. We have no clue if we'll be able to come back to the house while they are cleaning. We are in the dark, not physically, but mentally.

So this is what I'm doing, I have posted a few pictures of what we are looking at, these are of my house, please don't make mean comments, we, I cant take it. I have to appear the strongest, but I am losing it faster and faster. But, while I'm at work I must smile like there's nothing wrong. Gotta love life.

Washtenaw County 4-H Ribbon Fund for Llamas

Spring has sprung in Washtenaw County, and the local 4-H llama/alpaca clubs are doing their best to prove that they are the best in their classes. Our 4-H llama handlers start each spring with a llama/alpaca chosen by their leader, or one that they own. They teach their animal how to walk on a lead rope and how to trust them. By the end of July, each youth will be ready with their llama/alpaca, and they will have the opportunity to present their skills at the Washtenaw County 4-H Youth Show......

You can read more at the following link:

You can also make a donation there as well ;)

2Cellos at the Fox Theatre in Detroit ~ February 26

First I'd like to thank Peggy W., for letting me know that the 2Cellos were in the US on their own tour. Below you will see photos that I took from the concert, which include videos of 90% of the concert. Mind you I killed my cellphones battery, recharged it and killed it again.  I have also found other peoples postings of their videos on YouTube, and I will post links to those as well. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I enjoyed the show.

Merchandise they were selling, shirts S-2XL (no shirt for me), tour program (yes I did get that), CDs, pencil case with pencils, and bow rosin.

While waiting for the show to start, they were playing a combination of their music videos and their photos.

This is a video of the film that they were showing.

Here begins the run of the show, I will post as many videos as possible...

2014 (Very late but that's the lemonade for you)... A Year in Review

Well, one could call this past year a bust, an utter wreck, 2 deaths, 2 heart attacks.. And some failing grades. In April my uncle (mom's side) had two stints put in his heart. In May, my only grandfather left us to join his wife in heaven. In June, my mother had a heart attack, open heart surgery, 4 stints and a mechanical valve replacement. In December, my uncle (mom's sisters husband) passed away.

While all of that happened, i withdrew from some of my classes, failed one or two.

I did have some fun thou, sister won a hotel stay in Orlando, Florida, so I got to go to Disney, and Universal Studios. Had lots of fun too. I am a proud owner of my very own Harry Potter wand too. 😀

So now we are in 2015, and my goal is to make this year better than the last one.

To start I entered a competition with the card below and now I need to pass my current class. So tonight I have a midterm to write.
